Trails Worth the Drive

Shore Trail Easy
6.8 miles · Mostly flat · Hudson River views

The most scenic trail in the park runs along the base of the Palisades cliffs. Pass Ross Dock, the old boat basin, and open river views the whole way.

Long Path Moderate
Multiple entry points · Cliff-top route · 13+ miles

Runs along the top of the Palisades ridge with dramatic cliff-edge lookouts over the Hudson. Connect at multiple trailheads throughout the park.

Forest View Trail Moderate
3.2 miles · Loop · Mixed forest

A quieter loop through dense woodland away from the river crowds. Good for birdwatching in spring. Connects to the Long Path at the north end.

Giant Stairs Challenging
2.5 miles · Rocky scramble · Steep descent

The park's most dramatic route — a boulder scramble down the face of the cliffs. Not for beginners. Stunning views of the river and Manhattan skyline.
